How many power heads will the apex control

The EB8 has 8 outlets, to you can idividually control 8 power heads from each EB8. Is this a trick question??? :)

No trick question, I just got my Apex and reading the book I see where it says pump 1 and pump2 for the sequenced pumps .

Ahh, that is just the default configuration! You can re-program (change the function) of any of your EB8 outlets to have them do whatever you want. In other words, you can configure all 8 outlets with the pump wizard and control 8 power heads if you wish.

Forget those wizards, jump right into Advanced mode for outlet programming. While there are notable differences due the far greater power and flexibility of the Apex, it is quite similar to in many many ways to the AC3 programming you already know.

The first thing I did when I got my Apex was get it on my network so I could use the web interface. The second thing was to go in and delete all of the default outlet programming so I could work with a clean slate.

I meant the default programming for the various variable speed and EB8 outlets. You don't delete the outlets... you go into Outlet Setup, then each applicable outlet, then delete, choose Advanced mode, then add/modify/delete actual program statements as desired.

Hey jlaudiofreak,

Talking about powerheads, upgrading* your system with WXM module, you can control:
- 11 MPxxW ES pumps (11 independent channels);
- all pump modes are supported

* must have another EB8 + EB4

Although you'd also have to upgrade to wireless Vortechs. ;)

jl, I've got two first generation 10w3s in my truck. I've had them for about 8 years now. I love them!
