Yes. That's why I posted those links. Those are the temps that the Catalina gobies thrive in. it may be an expensive tank to run at those temps though.

not sure why you think it will be expensive to run? its a 3 gallon tank...

I appreciate your concern...I am will end up trying one Lord or Mirco frag and see if it can adapt, which I believe will be the case... at 70 degrees...

Ive been on RC awhile, and I have yet to see anybody and I mean ANYBODY post a pic of a catalina and a coral in the same pic, AND have them live together for more than a month.

prove me wrong!

At the LFS I work at we had a 24g aquapod setup with the orbit MH lighting option. A wholesaler sent us a catalina goby as a"gift" and we didn't really have anything setup with a chiller so we put some extra fans on the thing and tried to make a compromise for the corals and the goby. He lasted from December until about July or August but I haven't seen him in the tank lately so either the little lawnmower blenny beat him up or he.. wasn't able to adjust.

In the meantime we had hoped to find someone to take him but its not often you find someone with a species tank setup :(

If only I had a better camera I'd get you a pic ASAP! Mines still alive after 2 months and he goes after flakes that I throw in. :bum:

Wow, cause if it is not on RC and you have not seen it, then it must not be true, cause you read every post in every forum that is created, so you know that it is impossible? This thread could have done with out your bothersome post... Catalinas are super small most of the time and hide quite often, so chances are that you would not see a photo with them in it...but hey apparently it is not on RC, so no body has done it...Thanks for the very informative and helpful post ( I hope you get my severely heavy sarcasm).

All Im sayin, is if it was an easy fish to keep I would have seen one by now, Ill add another, Ive never seen a healthy carnation coral either, cause there hard to keep.

Have you ever seen an Amazon forest plant living with a Sahara desert turtle, NO because they come from 2 differant ecosystems and shouldn't be together, sure anybody can put them together and take a pic, but they both won't be happy for long.

And yes If it hasn't been on RC by now, it must not be a wise choice, Ill learn by other peoples mistakes.

WOW!!!!!!!! Again very enlightening...you should write a book!

I have another tank, and if the corals do not look good at 70 degrees, back into the main SPS display it will go...

as for carnation corals, there are a few people on here who keep them...I guess by your logic, that if you have not seen it done it can not be done...there was a time where SPS corals could not be kept, maybe we should have taken your logic back then and we would not be where we are at now in this hobby...

Let me know when the book is published, cause I want an autographed copy.

Did some looking and during the summer months water can be about 69 degrees, so I think the gobies will be fine at 70 degrees...so we shall see how both the corals and the gobies will do...
