i have two colonies of orange ric yuma. have them on sand bed under 5 250's double ended. it doesnt seems to like it. polyps shrunk, not fluffy. too much lights? all parameters are good. thanks

how big is your tank..i haven't dealt with yuma's much..mainliy the flordia's but im starting to get into them..from what i have researched, they dont like high end light unless they are acculmated slowly to the light..

Too much light for sure, when I acclimate new yumas I like to keep them almost in the dark for at least a week, then really slowly move them out onto the sandbed. The k rating on your bulbs makes a big difference too.

they can survive in almost any lighing, if you want good growth then putting them in decent lighting(for a softie) would be ideal.
