How much light is actually needed to culture phyto?

I'm not sure on this and everything that I'm reading just says to use dual 48" setups. Is there a specific amount of light that phyto needs?

Depends on the species and also the stage of culture. When cultures are new, some species can be hurt by to much light. This is very true for ISO and PAV. As the density increases you can almost never give them too much light.
