How much light?

Ok, I need some opinions about light in a SPS tank. I'm gettin' ready to build a new fixture for my 75 but just don't know how much light I need. I'd like to know what lights those who have great SPS tanks are using and how much. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

cant go wrong with 250w halides and t5s as suppliments. Those who have 75's usually go that route or all t5s like either 6 bulb or 8 bulb from what ive seen. Also, dont forget about VHO, they provide the best actinic by far IMO.

Im doing very well with the sps I have with an ati t5 6 bulb fixture. They say the fixture wont perform well in a canopy, but mine is in one because I didnt want wires hanging from my ceiling.

I use a tek light 8 bulb t5 fixture over my 75g display with ATI bulbs... couldnt be happier truth be told... GL

I use 3 150w MH and 4 96w PC. I got montipora on the floor of the tank that show great color and health. Perfect color actually. I have 20k MH and 50/50 PC and the color of the lights are even amazing.

I used 2x250w with VHO actinic on my 72g. I could keep sps anywhere I wanted, I had more trouble finding places to put lower light LPS.

Thanks everybody. I think I got it. Looks like 450-500w of halide and some supplemental actinic lighting or 6-8 T5HO's are the norm for a 75 or 90 SPS tanks. That's actually a little more than I thought.
