Heading off to college soon and need to get rid of this tank :(

Everything would be included except the corals and shrimp.

Thanks for your input. I believe I've put about 500-600 dollars into this system.

Too bad you have to sell everything.... I'd think that you could bring it with you and put it all into the Dorm room.....

You might want to post this in the Buy/Sell Forum....

If I still lived in the Central Ohio area, I'd be tempted... I've followed your thread on this tank ... My family and I where in the area at Christmas and I could not help but stop by an old haunt of mine: Byerlys Aquarium... Bought some very nice corals ...brought them home to Ga. and they are doing very well... I was very pleased at their prices on corals... fish were a bit overpriced but I could not pass on the coral's...

Good luck

Bob

I would keep it. That is a nice little set up and is worth much more than you will get selling it on the used market. If you sell it one day you will wish that you had not!

That's very true and one other thing, what are you planning to do with the corals and shrimp?? Since they've already gotten acustomed to the tank that they're in, why disrupt a great setup and sell them seprately?? You'll probably get more if you sell everything as a package deal....

Well, I can't bring it to college because when I come home for breaks and whatnot they cut off the power, so my tank would die.

It is a good idea to hold on to it, I would love to set it up in my apartement in like 2 years, that makes more sense.

Just was wondering what you all thought it was worth, but I think I'll hold onto it.

Thanks guys,

bennerkla

Bennerkla; I love how you explain you avatar.. lol like we couldn't figure it out...

Good choice..... Good luck in school..... What are you going to study?? And are you going to go to my Alma Mater??? OSU??

You won't get enough out of it, IMO, to justify letting it go. I'd keep the tank, because it is small and not a burden, until you can get it running again. Just sell off the livestock.

Agree -- keep that thing it's really quite a nice little setup that you'd only get around $100 for...

I like the explanation on who's who as well. *giggle*

Yeah, you're making the right choice. I'd just keep it too. When I was moving, I didn't think I'd have a place to put my tank and offered my FOWLR setup and everything with it for 400, way less than what I had in it. Even had somebody call me about it and want to come and look at it, being sure they would buy it. They decided not to at the last minute. In summary, the tank went in my kitchen, I poured more money into it and now I like it more than ever. I'm really glad I didn't sell it.
You have a nice set-up. It's too bad you couldn't find anyone to take care of it while you were gone.

i'd keep it too. it's very nice, and you could always have your parents take care of it. if not, sell the inhabitants, keep the rock in the tank. and if you can't do that, let it die. it will come back to life eventually
i agree with bebo77, i had no idea that would be the circumstances :p ( beautiful tank by the way)
