How often/how much to feed?

When? How much? What? Food questions for the following fish in my tank:

1 YM goby
1 pistol shrimp
1 cleaner shrimp
10 blue hermits
5 turbo snails

You will need to feed everything except the snails. Try feeding a few equivalents of flake food pinches a day. Try to spread the feedings throughout the day.

You only have one small fish .. it won't require much food at all. Don't get in the habit of feeding shrimp, crabs or snails .. in extreme cases you may have to but feeding the clean up crew goes contrary to the purpose of having a clean up crew.

Good point Kevin, I would only target feed the one little bitty fish. feed him a smidge, let him eat it, then feed him a tad more. When he's done eating you'll know. And anythign left over from when he decides he's "full" the rest of the critters can fight over.

Stupid question, but how do I target feed the goby? He's only been in the tank for a few days and is really finicky.

you can't target feed the fish, I think it was implied to "target" feeding the fish only, forget the other things. Just sprinkle a few flakes onto the water, and the fish will swim up to the food.

I dropped a little bit of formula one in the tank and the cleaner shrimp went crazy. It was upside down on the top of the water chasing down pieces of food. I thought it was pretty entertaining. The goby ate a little, but hopefully he'll settle down and eat soon.

You certainly can target feed a fish with a turkey baster for example. I always just drop and bunch in and look around to make sure all my fish are eating. If one is getting bullied then squirt some right into his face. I my experience my cleaner shrimp will get a hold of large chunks faster than the fish. I think that is why someone suggested target feeding.
