I recently boutght two, i'd say juvenile ocellaris clowns and i believe that they have become a pair. How old, or big, do they have to be to spawn? And if they should spawn, what steps should I take to raise the young?
There is no set limit. They've gotta form a pair. I think I've read accounts of females as small as 1.5 inches spawning. I think males have to be at least 1 inch. I would recommend a book called "Clownfishes" by Joyce Wilkerson. I believe that gives very detailed information on raising them. It is not an easy thing to do, and takes a lot of dedication. Good luck with it!
feeding is key. most peope do not feed enough to get their clowns to spawn. feed to saturation 2 to 3 times is what ive done and seen other people do as well. most of my clowns have started spawning within a year or so of me purchasing mine
