How soon is too soon

I am wondering how soon I can do a partial water change on a 225 gallon with a newly added Regal angel. I was at my local lfs and found a beauty. Only been here a week and he is eating and doing great. Is two weeks after arrival too soon for 5 % or so change. It was due for a change a week ago. Nitrates are up a bit.

As long as you match SG and Temp you can water change anytime.

I thought u had to let a fish settle in and that a water change makes the fish have to adapt to new conditions...even though better conditions. Just when u think your on top of things......Thanks Rider.

You are only changing small amount.

Agreed. Assuming you match the SG and temperature, should be no big deal. Even temperature at that small amount will be irrelevant.
