How to attach filter sock to Drain?

Can anyone show me how they attach thier filter sock to thier drain? Do I need one of those holders that premium aquatics sells?

no u dont need anything fancy just slip it around the drain. most 100 micron socks are stiff enough to stand alone. thats how mine is.

I used to use a holder but got tired of the space in consumed in my sump. Now I just use a spring clamp that I bought at Home depot. I use the clamp to hold the bag still and steady under my drain line. The clamp has really worked out for me because I used to have to throw away my filter bags when the plastic rings broke, but it's no longer a concern with my clamp.
