How to cycle with dry/dead rock

As you know I am in the process of vinegar/ bleach baths. I did just 3 rocks in vinegar for 3 days came out practically white. I did a strong prolly way too strong bleach bath. Actually didn't whiten them much more then the vinegar. They are now soaking in some RO drinking water we have a whole house unit and we also have a whole house water softener. RoDi is coming soon anyway. I have been reading many threads about cycling the tank with the dead rocks. Anywhere from adding ammonia, shrimp, buy a piece of live rock, just wondering how you would do it.

I added a jumbo uncooked shrimp for about a week, then pulled it out and started testing every other day for about another 4 weeks.

There are plenty of bacteria in a bottle. I've heard nothing but great reviews from fritz turbo

Your rock could be and is soaking up all the tds that is in that water.

It is only 3 rocks by the time the other 80 lbs is ready the new RODI will be here. And some people go from the bleach bath to powerspray so at least I skipped that step anyone else see this as a major concern?
