How to determine right lighting levels

I got a xr30 and a xr15 for my 65 gallon tank.

How does one determine the right lighting level to use?

If you just started using these radions, start at a low intensity that way you do not Bleach your corals. When I Just started with mine, I started out at 19%, over the 7 months I slowly ramp up to 38%. Better to be safe than sorry.

What if you have yet to plug them in? Or are you saying every time you put a piece of coral in the tank drop it to 20% and ramp up over 7 months?
