how to feed longspine cardinalfish

ive purchased 8 cardinalfish few days ago. when they came back, they obviously caught saltwater ich but now they are recovering.

the problem is they do eat or have very strong desire to eat, swimming and chasing for the floating flakes in the water but when i feed them, they become very frieghtened and retreat back to a corner, paying no attention to or showing no interest in the pellets i drop into the tank.

so any better way or food for me to feed them? am i supposed to use flake food so that it floats in the water to attract them?

thanx in advance and a little bit urgent.

try feeding at night because the are nocturnal fish and are very active. you can try brine shrimp or even mysis that is how i got my school of 20 cardinals to start feeding. and when your feeding turn down the flow in your tank as well, good luck

thanx

ive noticed long that they are more active at night but never come to the conclusion that they are nocturnal

very very helpful info

thanx once more

mine have always eaten NLS. They love it. I started with 6 about 4 years ago now down to 2. I need to find some more good sized ones!
