You don't need to. Its a scavenger and feeds off waste in the tank. Nice star. You can get some clam at a fish market and dice it up and lay it in the tank next to it as a treat too

will orp reading effect it? I just bought an ozone unit but i only hook it up at night, so my orp reading goes from 375 night, to 280 during the day.
