I posted this in the Reef Discussion forum, but thought you all might have good advice...
I have this old platygyrus that is starting to encroach on other corals. i want to frag it, but it has fused to the walls and i can't take it out. see pic. the second pic shows where i want to frag this guy, right now i am trying to keep him at bay with rubble topped with mushrooms, but that is not doing the trick...
I have the standard fragging scissors, but i am afraid i would need twenty cuts and i would bang into corals, break off my branching monti and porites which are near by and make a big mess. Maybe that is the only way, but i am looking for suggestions for underwater fragging of a eight inch section of this guy...a drywall saw? that seems crazy, but I am thinking I need the equivalent of a bandsaw type motion...
