I noticed that my frogspawn is growing by splitting its heads and growing small heads at its bases. How can I frag this I'm afraid I might kill the colony. What's thye best practice?

Use a dremel tool with a cutoff wheel and slice though the skeleton...Make sure you dont hit any flesh

To frag big heads, use a dremel or chisel or other implement of destruction to cut off/break off the head(s) at least half an inch below any visible flesh. You can gently pop off baby heads with tweezers and mount to rubble with superglue.
But I'd leave it alone for a while and let it grow; it'll be happier that way and look better anyway.

The dremel will cut through the skeleton super fast....

Get 1 or 2 diamond wheels for your dremel tool and cut the frogspawn on the dead skeleton below the heads like Nicole said at least 1" below any exposed flesh cut the big heads off and leave the little tiny heads budding off from the main branches they are small from not getting enough light I trimmed my hammer and had quite a few mini heads budding off from the branches I left the little heads intact and now have a completely new head with mini buds starting to develop.
