I got this really cool piece of live rock from my LFS about two days ago. It has tonz of coraline that is growing in pillar formations. Also, it has some sponges, micro stars, and feather dusters on it.

I noticed though after i put it in my tank that it also has a little crab living in it. The rock itself is almost hollow and the crab lives inside. I originally saw his claw polking through a hole eating my calurpa. I am trying to get rid of him, but i dont know how! I cant get him out of the rock. I have the rock floating in a bucket in the tank. THe crab has come out once, but as soon as i tried to grab him, he went back into the rock. I also tried dipping the rock in sparkling water for about a minute. This did not help either.

How do i get it out?!

Crabs can't swim. Put a shallow jar like a baby food jar against the rock and put some food in. If the crab goes for the food, it won't be able to climb out of the jar.
