Hello guys,

This is my first post in this forum, although I have been reading threads here for a long time... :)
I have a tank consisting mostly of the soft corals, and the water parameter is ok. Recently, I got a nice piece of zoanthids from LFS, but there are some of this kind of annoying soft coral that I don't know the name of it. It has been propagating ver quickly in my tank and invading the territory of other corals as well. I tried to do research with google but still cannot figure out what is this kind of soft pest coral and how to get rid of it. Any hint or clue on what this is and how to kill it will be highly appreciated!

It's going to be tough to get it out of the zoanthid colony. You might have to pull the piece out of the tank and place it in a container of tank water and pull it out with tweezers as best you can. I may take 2-3 attempts.
In cases where it is starting to get close to something you don't want it, try mixing up a batch of kalkwasser power and water thick enough to make a paste. Find a syringe with a larger opening and ( turn off powerheads first) layer it over the coral. Leave it on for atleast 15-20 minutes. Syphon off as much as you can before turning the flow back on.
