how to go about transferring tank

I am moving from a 17 gallon tank to a 40 gallon breeder what is the best way to go about moving everything over is there a write up or guide to this somewhere?


Also I will need more live rock. Will it be harmful to add new rock to my existing?

Just have new water ready to fill the 40. Put all rock in tank, add water and presto you're done. Assuming it's temp and salinity matched. Just did this yesterday. I would add the new rock myself straight to it.
