How to kill cheato

Loose cheato has gotten into my display tank, it has attached to my rock and embeded in the sand. It is growing faster than I can remove it.
2 questions
1. what eats cheato and would work in a 35 gal tank?
2. how can I kill the cheato?

Kill Chaeto? Apparently, put it in my tank/fuge

If you’re using it in a fuge, and chemical or reduction in nutrients will likely also kill the chaeto in your fuge.

You could introduce a small tang and then sell or trade it after it clears up your problem.

That I’m not sure of. I’ve never tried to kill that species.

Maybe Algaefix? Some will tell you that is a horrible algaecide that will wipe out your tank. Others, like me, have had good experience with it for nuisance algae.

Some say Algaefix is the same as Vibrant. I’m not sure. I tried Vibrant a long time ago and had a lot of coral losses like many others did. I did not experience any losses with Algaefix.
