How to make my pic an avatar? (need to lower amount of bytes)

It says the limit is like 8, 175 bytes...my pic is 9000 bytes...how do i change this?

Lower the image quality or crop it down a little. Post the pic here and I or someone will resize it for you if you want.

open the picture on MSPAINT and save as. it will end up as a 50kb file or something around there

go to "my RC" on the top...then click "my options" and at the bottom of the page you can change it
