My friend asked me today to take his hammer under my wing and see if the color would come back. It was a beautiful piece but wow I didnt think it was going to be so ugly lol its a huge hammer which is green with brown tantacles, What can I do to help this hammer recover? My current LPS corals are doing great beautiful colors and open fully. I guess any information would help me out, should I just throw it away and say it died or can it be salvaged? well thanks in advance and I hope to hear fromm you soon.

is it dyed green? if so that will fade...

Try getting it these perameters:
Ideal Supplements: Calcium, Strontium, Trace elements (additives)
Water Flow: Medium (15-20x tank volume)
Light: Medium (PC lighting?)
Placement: Low (sand or bottom or LR?)

also feed micro-plankton (phyto)

I curently have it place on my sand bed with medium to low current on it. My water parameters are Ideal calcium is 400 and all others are in check. I does iodine stronium and sometimes a little iron for my shrooms. Again this was from my friends tank and I am just trying to help it get back up to shape. I guess time will tell. Has anyone else had this happen and has a success story to tell?
thanks,
Adrian
