how to pair up potters angels?

ok so i have what appears to be a young male potters maybe 2" in length. im upgrading to a 120g(4x2x2) and was wondering what the chances would be of it pairing if i went and bought a female. would they try to kill each other?

if it was a female for sure you wouldn't have to many issues more than likely, just make sure it is smaller than your male.

If it's a female, and you know it's a female, just toss her in and they'll get along. She MUST be smaller than the male, of course.

If you can find one that's no more than an inch from nose to end of tail, it should be a female or juvenile and would be fine.

As you are probably aware, for long term success with Potter's angels, they need a cooler tank with temps down toward 70 degrees.

To find a teeny, properly collected healthy Potter's I'd contact Pacific Island Aquatics.

i got him from my LFS prob 3 months or so ago when he was around 1 1/2" long. my tank is currently about 78 degrees and they had him for about a month as well. i know that doesnt spell out long term success but so far eh couldnt be happier. i wouldnt get another for a few months and i am correct in thinking that females arent/dont have as much blue/black as the males right?

from what i have read that is a way of sexing them. like angel*fish said, if it is an inch or smaller its more than likely gonna be a juvenile/female, so there won't be much guessing there.

Gill spike is much longer on male potters. Male potters have much more blue than females. Thy are pretty easy to sex.

I don't see why you'd be thinking about adding another.
