how to plumb my tank??

With one low wattage tunze nano wavebox in my 120, I have movement in my tank throughout the whole water column, not just gentle currents running through. Where there is water, its moving.

Do you run any other powerheads as well?

ok just a thought, but does the wavebox have to be in the tank? what if the pump pumped water up a riser tube, 2" maybee, into a resevoir, 5 gal salt bucket, over the water that drained fast when the pump powered off? would take a little more pump power due to the extra head pressure and would require extra room over the tank, but if you got it then why not. might even get crAZY and throw an algae skimmer screen in the bucket or some cheato.

I am no expert But I dont think it will work would be great tho if something could be done like that that kinda of sounds like how a surge bucket works

I also thought about getting some powerheads that can work on a wavemaker and Then use a Chauvet SF-4005

i think i am going with a maxijet mod for version 1.0. the price is right. also saw carl's tank this weekend an it was sweet. huge poder blue was sooo fat and phat. i mention this because he is running a bare bottom and it got me thinking a downward firing wavebox would be killer for keeping the poop in the "air". with my sand bottom it would be a mess. almost makes me want to fab a tank that would lend itself to bare bottom.

Ebay is a good source for them I just found them by searching for dj light chaser hope this helps
