how to prime Peristaltic pump

I have a 32m/ per min peristaltic pump and when I turn it on for the first time it makes a terrible noise.
I have the tubing from the sump going into the left side of the pump this is the intake.
I have the tubing going from the right side going into the nitrate reactor.
Any thoughts or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

how to prime Peristaltic pump

There is no priming a peristaltic pump. Put the draw line into your solution and turn on the pump.

Was this a used pump?

No this is a new D&D perp pump 32ml per min.
I also have a nw D&D 1ml per min pump also.
Is it normal for them to make noise when they are drawing up the solution.?

My Aqua Medic doesn't make noise.

Update the 1ml/per min unit does not make any noise.
The 32 ml unit does.
Both are new and by the same company.

I just removed the two tubes and it is still making noise.
Looks like a bad unit. eeerrrr
