How to remove frilly mushrooms?

What's the easiest way to remove frilly mushrooms? I was thinking some sort of "Y" shaped handle with a wire in between and "cutting" them off the rock. Sound feasable or would there be an easier way?

Anyone want to buy any? 5 bucks each (unmounted)?

I also have some toadstool/leather thingies if anyone's interested.

30 bucks (including the LR it's all attached to)

I've slaughtered some trying to remove them, but I've never been successful. Someone suggested a point a powerhead at them and keep it there, and they will detach themselves, but I never tried it.

Tagging along on this one.

Depending on what they are attached to, you can try chipping the rock under the base where they are attached. Always works for me. I use a hammer and butter knife on fiji with great success.

Good luck!! :)

Or a straight blade screwdriver. LR is usually kind of soft and I've just dug under where the foot of the shroom is connected to the rock. This leaves it connected to a small piece of rock and, hopefully, un-traumatized. Makes it easy then too to glue it wherever a person who takes it wants it.

I use a hammer and flat head screwdriver to chip rock and minimize stress. You could alway cut the heads off and leave some stumps behind to regrow. Toss the heads on some rubble for a few days.

I used a screwdriver last night and popped them off of with a piece of rock on their foot (for the most part they popped off...) and threw them into the 'fuge. Everything was shrunk up this morning and not looking very good. I turned the light off and will see what they look like this evening when I get home.
