How to remove GBTA

I have a GBT that I want to remove because it's not a good neighbor! What's the best way to remove it without having to give up the rock it's on?

any chance you could pull the rock it is on out of the water? It will release itself then and you can grab it right off.

I had the same problem today. Used ice, lifted rock out of water, used a powerhead and the anenome would not budge. So I used the nail filer from the end of the nail clipper and slowly pried it off. I mean SLOWLY. Everytime I inserted the filer under the base I lifted it no more than a few mm. Anything more may tear into the base. After 30 minutes I was able to remove the RBTA safely. Now its in another tank healthy with no visible stress

TRy rubbing an Ice cube on its foot. I recommend freezing some salt water or RO water becasue this might take a few minutes to do and you dont want tap water melting in your tank. This has worked for me in the past. It seems to not stress out the nem and is harmless.

cheers

Thanks. I can remove the rock, it's right at the top ...I just want it back afterwards hehehehe. I'll try your suggestions.

well.....i found its better to move the neighbors then the nem... the nem will move to where it wants to be
