How to set up a QT tank

Can I set up a QT with a 10 gal glass and HOB filter like the one sold by Aquaclear or Biowheel. and how can I start an instant QT with proper bacteria level to handle the bioload, I am planning to get a foxface and 2 percula, and may be a purple tang. I know a QT shouldn't have any liverock and sand so the question is how to innoculate the needed bacteria from my 120gal display.

that 10 gallon is too small for that many fish.. you need to get a 30 gallon tank or do less fish at a time...

you shouldnt add that many fish at a time to your main tank either.. you should introduce 1-2 fish per week..

Ok, so one fish at a time, but can I put the foxface in without establishing the biological filtration first, and how do I do that without live rock and sand.
Should I also add copper at 2ppm or hypesalinity for the QT or the full streagh salt.

You can jump start the biological filtration by placing a sponge in your main tank for 2 to 3 weeks, then move it to the QT when you set it up. It will be loaded with the necessary bacteria.
