How to set up QT from hitchhiking pipefish?

So, my girlfriend is eradicating ich after introducing it to her DT through an un-QTed puffer. I noticed it the day after he went into the tank, we pulled him out, and put him and a couple other new arrivals through TTM. They are now all sitting in a nice, luxurious 20H until fallow period is complete.

Last night, she spotted a pipefish in the DT. Still haven't figured out what species it is, but it must have hitchhiked in on some cheato that was added to the tank MONTHS ago. On the upside, it's kind of amusing that a "difficult" fish survived undetected as a hitchhiker for months. On the other hand, it means that the month of fallow time the tank has already been through didn't buy anything. :headwally:

Obviously we need to get the thing out and treat it, but I'm not sure how to best go about doing that. I have NO idea whether or not it will take frozen, as I assume it has been living and growing by eating pods in her tank. How do people usually handle QT/treatment for these kinds of fish? A 10g with LR, fake plants, cycled biomedia, and chloroquine is what I'm leaning towards, as I can't really think of any reasonable way to keep it swimming in pods during a TTM period.

They have the same feeding requirements as mandarins. I've fed bottled pods, caviar (Dr. Gs), and bought pods online while my mandarin was in quarantine. He now will hit the turkey baster and eat anything I feed him. I initially set up a 5 gallon bucket with newly made saltwater and an air stone then bought pods from reefstogo.com and put them in the 5 gallon. I could then feed the fish in the QT from the 5 gallon "pod bucket".
