How to ship large items

I am going to be selling a large chiller in the next few days. I was wondering how I would go about shipping it if I sell it to some one who is not local. It weighs about 60 lbs and I have never shipped anything this large before.

Thanks for all your help.

I mostly use USPS it's normally the cheapest one, and I have never gotten a bad experience with them.

Had many bad ones with DHL though but that might be just me.

For what it's worth, I just recently had a bad shipping experience with USPS. Someone shipped me a Lifereef Dual Overflow box and it was packaged well yet arrived broken in a few places. The package was insured so I filed a claim and it has been a few weeks yet I still haven't heard anything back from the post office.

Just insure the package, package it well and go with someone that will provide you tracking info imo.

Thanks for the info. I was thinking 60 lbs would be considered large but it looks like it's not that big of a deal.

my dad told me (works for usps) that the way the system is now, for sorting packages, they literally throw the boxes into the respected bins.

So if you do use USPS, just make sure you take out insurance, and really package it well.
