How to stop aggressive clown fish

My female clown fish is very aggressive after she found the carpet anemone hosting her and the pair are pre-spawning .Every time I put my hand in the tank it keeps attacking me. She is attacking me so hard that it hurt. Then I thought maybe I will clean the other site of the tank to keep away from her, but she is just chasing me to the other site. She keeps attacking me every second. I can't siphon the sand bed like that. She won't attack the siphon....only my hand. What can I do when I want to clean the tank?

good luck, this is the reason to buy the rubber gloves.

these are what I use now after my clown drew blood on me.

I already put gloves on sinds the last time it bite me so hard that it hurt and my hand jumped out of the water.....water all over the floor and my face. It's still annoying even with gloves on. I can still feel it but not pain and every time she bite me I will shock.

I use a turkey baster to blast my rocks, my clownfish hate it.. so I stick it in away from where I wanna work. this helps limit the attacks on me, but not eliminate them...

She loves the turkey blaster . I thought she was scared of the net , so I put it in the tank, but it didn't work. I also chase back at her and that she will hide for a while in the carpet, but she chase right back on me. Nothing scares her. I try to catch her with a net and that I can take her out when I am doing maintenance , but it is very hard to catch a fish with all the rocks .

Was picking up a coral today that fell on the sand bed and female clown fish went right after me. Was shocked and hand jumped out the tank and floor was all wet and I was all wet. I really can't do anything in the tank anymore. :(

There really isnt much your gonna be able to do, this will go with any clown that is protecting their terratory

the attacks I get now are less than originally, I just think of it like the dog with the mailman. the dog barks, mailman leaves, every time. I just take what she gives and keep working, so maybe they are less severe because it doesn't work. Maybe try something like melevs mandarins diner with something extra tasty as a distraction... or trade her in for a nicer fish. I would have sold off my clowns a long time ago if not for the wife's objections. I actually just moved mine into a softie tank of their own, even my wife noticed more peace in the bigger tank after their removal..

She is not chasing other fishes and is very peaceful to them. She only chase my hand.....not sure why:headwally:

Is she drawing blood when she attacks? If she's not actually really going at you, she may just be trying to show some care, mine rubs against my arm and headbutts my hand when I'm in the tank, at first it was a shock, then I got used to it... But our newest one bit me, and he's tiny and he drew blood.

If she is attacking, I don't think there's much to be done for it, sorry.

She is not drawing blood , but hurt a lot

Put it this way, what would you do if someone just came into your house? You would most likely try to protect it, right? It is no different than the clown protecting its home.
