How to stop aggressive clown fish

Put it this way, what would you do if someone just came into your house? You would most likely try to protect it, right? It is no different than the clown protecting its home.

Yeah I know ....she is protecting the carpet:spin3: It is so strange....I thought they find a host to protect themself, but it looks more that the clownfish is protecting the carpet and not the carpet protecting the clownfish:spin3:
Every time in fight back to her she will become even more aggressive. Why is only the female like that and the male doesn't care at all?

The females job is to protect the home while the males is to care for the eggs. Even if you dont have eggs they still do their roles

have you tried gloves? she will still attack but at least you have protection

I am already using gloves. Can feel her nipping, but doesn't hurt. Still very annoying when you are very busy doing maintenance in the tank. I think I gave to accept. I was thinking of diving gloves, they are 3mm thick.....maybe I won't feel her nipping then.

My clownfish like to eat the silversides I feed my anemone. I physically have to scare it off with the tongs until the anemone ingests the piece. I started feeding my tank just before feeding my anemone to minimize the constant tugging of the silverside out of my anemone's oral disk. Seems to help minimize its interest a bit.

You might rethink feeding your nem silversides...There are plenty posts on here about anemones dying after eating bad silversides.
As for the OP's question--just get used to her behavior...It's normal & I doubt you can change it.
