how to take care of florida rics ?

I would like to get some advice as well! I want to get some rics but want some info first.
How much light? Do you feed them? Placement in the tank? Etc.

Thanks ! :)

I kept about 10 rics in a 40 gallon tank with 2 65 watt CFL's, a hang on the back refugium, and a protien skimmer. My rics did well I never lost one and they multplied over the 2 years that I had them. I would feed them every now and the. Over all they were easy to keep and maintain.

Ricordeas enjoy medium to high light and medium to high flow (as long as they're attached) the floridas are pretty hardy (no bumps on mouth) and do well in most situations. Obviously keep water parameters in check and provide decent lighting and you should be ok.

I thought they liked low flow? So if attached I can place them in a higher flow area? ( medium flow)... I would like to provide them a good placement so that they reproduce, at least I hope hehe..

Thanks!

They don't like to be BLASTED, but mine get ruffled pretty good and don't mind. The reason a lot of people would say low flow is if they aren't attached IMO...
