I've been moving tanks around. I had to give up my oscar because his maintenance was becoming too much for me to do( :sad2: ) and made that tank into a community tank(would have done salt in it, but don't have the cash for THAT upgrade!) and I'm going to put the inhabitants of the 10 gallon into the 20 I used to use as a community tank.
I've got a 65 watt PC now, and keep some LPS(merletti, candy cane, plate, cup) in there, random zoas, some shrooms. Nothing TOO high lighted. Plus my LRS says I don't need any more light, but I figured I should ask if I should get more or if the 65 watts is enough.
Random question. . . For the 20, I've got one of those cheap fluoressant hoods that came with it. Would it be possible to put my retro into that, or would it likely melt the plastic and catch fire?
Also, I've got 3 nassarius, around 7 ceriths, maybe 6-7 nerites and 2 blue leg hermits, would that be a good cuc, or should I get a couple more snails?
Another thing, for the time being, I'm going to use a couple of aquaclear HOBs with rock and macro in them, along with my powersweep. I'm going to get another powerhead though. Should that be an okay ammount of flow in there?
Lastly, I have 11 lbs of rock now, should I just double that ammount, or try to find a few smaller pieces to go in there to just try to make it look nice? I know for the time being my rock will handle my load, since it has been doing fine so far, but I also know I need to add more of it to the tank.
