How too eliminate unwated zoas.

I have these zoas that must of been in a rock and they are growing like crazy. Any suggestions on eliminating them besides taking the rock out. Other corals growing on the rocks and already tried taking the rocks out and scrubbing them off with a brush.

They are not very colorful and sorta have a pink neon color in center and very light colored outer ring. Multiply very quickly

You can get Mrs. Wages Pickle Lime (which is the same as Kalk paste) for a few bucks in your local grocery store in the aisle where they keep the canning and pickling supplies. Mix the Lime with some RO/DI into a thick paste that will fit into a shringe. Turn off powerheads and get the paste as close to the mouth of each individual zooanthid you want to get rid of and cover with paste. I try to only hit only about 10-15 a time and wait a few days and do more. Give it 20 minutes or so before turning powerheads back on. Sometimes it can take more than one dose over a period of time to eliminate them.

Or rename them something fancy, give them lots of attention and they should slow down or melt without fail.

Really does this work because I have some pink tacos with the same problem. In my area they call them pink tacos but I think they are what most call Mohawks. I usually just inject them with boiling RO/DI water but can only do a few at a time b/c of temp in the tank and even them it's not %100 effective they usually repopulate within the week. Anyone else have experience with this above mentioned Mrs. Wages Pickle Lime.

Yeah this works I do it all the time to my blue clove polyps and sometimes the kalk gets on zoanthids and just melts them. Kalk also works for aiptasia.

I wouldn't mind getting some free zoas if ya decide to frag them! :D Actually I would appreciate it.. Give it some thought :D
