How warm do 95w super vho get?

Just wondering if zip ties would work with them, guess not. Gotta go with wire then

I would not think they would melt the zip ties.. I will try it over the next couple of days and see. They get hot to touch, but nothing like a 60 watt light bulb.

Holy crap!!! got 4 of them fired up and the entire room is blue!!!

When I turn on the MH though I dont see much blue, of course the tank is empty right now, will I see the differance when the coral and rock is in the tank?

Stand back and have someone turn the VHO's off and on with the MH's on.. Mine is a big difference.. I only run my VHO's in the Morning till the MH's kick on then I have it where the VHO's shut down till 5pm then stay on for an hour after the MH's go off, and I do this because I was trying to save some Wattage while I was at work so they kicked back on for my viewing

Maybe when the tank is full, not much differance now when I do that Hmmmmm

I know it really brings the color out on the corals on mine. Don't seem like that much more light, so that might be the case not having water in the tank. I know if my VHO's are on I cannot get a picture of my tank that does turn out with the blue tint.. I have to turn the VHO's off just to get the color to turn out.
