How would you prep a BNIB Brute?

Please don't say rinse it with RO/DI. That's alotta water to make. I have 2 Brute, FW and SW. Any other ideas??

I just throw a gallon of hot tap water & some vinegar in there, wash with a clean towel, rinse & use.

Oh, make sure to wash the inside of the lid while you're there.

I rinsed mine with the garden hose and let 'em dry in the sun. Maybe not the most thorough prep, but I've used them for two years and no problems...

Dishsoap and scrub brush, no problems.

I wouldn't suggest soap, as it can leave a residue. I've always given them a vinegar bath, rinsed them out and let them dry.

Thanks guy. I think Ill hit em with some vinegar. Its going to be so nice having 80 gallons of water on hand.
