How's everybody dealing with the economic downturn?

If you guys are all like me, you haven't been able to devote many funds to your reef here lately because everything else costs so much.

What kinds of things have you been doing to cut corners and still have a thriving reef tank?

Are you making your own food recipes, your own 2 part, selling coral frags?

How about some tips for the rest of us down and out reefers?

i just make my family eat less so the fish have more to eat.

on a serious note. i a spending less money on the tank these days. but i do spend more time looking though the used stuff. you can find some killer deals right now. lots of people getting out of the hobby.

I havent been buying anything for the tank. Im house poor at the moment. I need to start fragging

I heard that. Outside of the water/electric bill associated with the tank, I've probably spent $15-$20 in the past 6 months, and the reef has suffered for it.

Haven't bought salt, so fewer water changes = a number of issues.
