huma huma and a Puffer

Hi Guys,

One more question would a huma huma get along with a Saddled Toby Puffer?

Just looking at all my options.

Thanks,

Eric

for a time perhaps.... The huma will get bigger and could easily kill the toby later on. Huma's are normally about midpack for trigger aggression. Niger's tend to be a bit more laid back but if its a trigger it CAN go mean as hell...

BTW, that panther will eat the toby one day...

I guess I should get rid of the panther before it gets to big it is 1" right now so I should be ok for a few months.

What trigger would go best in my tank I could get a small Niger or a small Huma Huma or even a small Pink Tail?

What would be the best one? I know there still could be issues but it is a Aggressive tank. I have a spare tank incase I have to move a fish for a while and sell to another reefer.

I was also thinking adding a Arc Eye Hawkfish would that go good with a puffer and a trigger?

Thanks for all your help.

Eric

As with all Triggers they are hit or miss. I've got a Niger,Hummu, and an Undulated and the Niger is the most aggressive. Get a fair sized Toby and add the arc-eye after and it should work.

Of my three the Hummu is the most peacful, and has never shown any sign of aggression besides when he's eating my hermits. The Undy is alone, and the Hummu is with the Niger, which is very aggressive. A more peacful Triggerfish would be the pinktail, blue-throat, sargassum, crosshatch, or Lei. While the list I just mentioned is a much better choice than the CT,Queen,BL,Undy etc. I've heard accounts of the peacful trigs getting medieval at times. My Hummu is a softy, I've seen them as terrors, and people complaining they've wiped out tanks, just depends on the individual. Nigers are supposed to be peacful? My near 8" Niger is an aggressive jerk, and bullies I think for the shear entertainment!

The meanest fish I have ever seen was a "docile" Niger trigger. It would charge the glad at anyone who walked by and would try to bite its way to you. On the other hand I have had my humma humma in with very small fish and he hasnââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t even looked at them.
