Humu Humu Trigger and Feather Duster Compatibility

I have a small humu humu trigger and wanted to add a feather duster or two to my tank, but don't know about compatibility. All the LFS employees I have asked have said it is hit or miss, so I want to hear experience from anyone who has a humu humu trigger and a feather duster.

my old huma huma ate everything all majanos all dusters anything he could get his mouth around
personally i wouldnt suggest it
even if you put it deep in the rock work picasso's like to squeeze in to rocks and find stuff to eat

but thats my experience
my next experience is never listen to a LFS =)

Oh yeah, my guy is all about finding little nooks and crannies to eat out of. Maybe I'll try a big one, that he can't just eat on right quick.

Your Humu Humu will appreciate the tasty and thoughtful snack you provided for him. If it is a bigger featherduster,it will simply take longer for him to completely eat it.

Excellent. Time to try. I'm just going to get the biggest one I can then, and see how long it takes my little guy to wipe him out.

HaHaHa! I like your determination! Never mind the naysayers and full speed ahead!:hammer:

But seriously, I have tried HumuHumus (Really small quarter size specimens) and even they will nip and pick at feather dusters, although at that size they can't really cause any real harm. The trouble is they grow - and when they get bigger, your feather duster is toast.
If you are going to try this, pick the very smallest Humu you can get, and be prepared to eventually move the featherduster to a different tank, because it is likely you will have to.
Good Luck!!!:)
