Hydor ATO issues

Hi folks,

I picked up a Hydor top off system since I will be going out of the country for 5 days. When I set it up it started filling my sump past the max level, causing my salinity and skimmer to go crazy, I've left it off for a few days and just topped off manually. Turned it on today and the alarm started going off when it wasnt even close to the level it should have been. Considering I'm going to be away for nearly a week I need this thing to work, any ideas as to whats going on? It's hooked up to a TOM Aqualifter.

Also, I recently picked up a Spectrapure 90gpd RO/DI system. Seems like my DI resin is being consumed very quickly. Should I be taking the cartridges off and emptying them when I store the unit? Pressures fine just wanna know what could be going on here.

Thanks for the feedback!

Is it near splashing water that could be getting the sensor wet? As far as di resin are using the ro unit to keep ato full as in ro unit is always on using a pressure shutoff? If so it will continue to produce waste water which will deplete your resin very quickly, or if your membrane is bad and you have too much tds coming through to your resin

I only hook up the unit when I need to make water change/top off water, otherwise it's stored under the sink. Tap water is 112 TDS.

The sensor is placed in the return section of my sump, not really splashy...Tried placing the top off line to go directly into the aquarium instead of the return section of the sump, we'll see how that goes.
