Hydor Koralia timer?????

It's recommended that they be used on a controller that ramps the power up and down but doesn't turn them completely off.

I dunno about dimmer switches. I know that Hydor recommends the SEIO controller for these pumps, and there's talk that they will have their own controller out soon.

THe propeller design has too much play and when the power switches, it causes the shaft to make all kinds of racket. I tried it on my coralife timer. Maybe if you use a timer with soft start function. I heard that they may be bringing new ones out by winter.

I've had 2 koralia 4's running on the seio controller for about a month now and its running great.

Yes the seio controller operates 2 pumps. It has 2 outputs. Don't know if you can split the outputs though.

I know Koralia pumps work with the seio controller, but has anyone came up with another idea.?????
I'm hearing use a dimmer switch......I've tried this but didn't work......has anyone tried anything else.???

I am using a SEIO controller with four PHs. One SEIO 1500 and One Koralia #4 connected to each of the two outputs of the controller. The total load on each line is still less that having a single SEIO 2600, which the controller is rated for (a 1500 + K4 is 43W, a 2600 is 55W). It has worked quite well for my 185.

Great info, been wondering about having more than 2. Thank you!

Same here, I have 1 K3 and 1 Tunze nano 6025 on each outlet.

I have to plug the Seio controller into a voltage regulator/line conditioner but that is a long story unique to the power situation where I live.
