I dont know about you guys, but after having a million and 4 things plugged in, i dont care about watts anymore, i already know my electricity bill is gonna be high so why worry.
Yes I have two of the #4's in my 90 gallon. To be quite honest with you, I wouldn't want any more flow in my tank, I sometimes have trouble directing these two so that they aren't blowing down things. They seem to work very well and I've had them out 4 or 5 times cleaning them without problems. They really made my MJ's and Seo's look like junk IMO. I won't go back.
i have a #1 in my 75. I had ordered a #2 but that was when the recall came out. I decided instead of waiting forever to just get the #1. I like it. Looks good and has a wide flow pattern. I know its way to small for my tank and i will probably order another #2 or #3 soon.

this is an interesting hobby I mean lets take pure clean water ( non cunductive) and add something to make it really carry the electricity, then add 432 electric devices in to it for fun it is a wonder there isnt a perminent OBIT page on RC ...
Those who DO have these pumps, do they cycle well ( meaning on and off) or are they more of a constant drive pump? I was thinking of maybe getting some of these and wave maker-izing* them
I don't own one but have read that it is bad for the mortor to haave them turn off and on. I also read that Hydor is comming out with a wavemaker thing that will dim the flow the bring it back up.
I was in Pet's Playhouse in CR last night, and they have a couple running on their tanks, and they have three of four in stock for sale. They were asking $54 for the small one. I couldn't remember how much they go for online.
I heard they do much better when modded but there are issues with gettin a stop pin intalled on them....without modding them they wont produce comparable flow to a modded MJ1200.
I have 3-#4's in my 135 gallon. They put out a lot of flow that is widely dispersed. As much if not more than the modded mj I had in there. They don't cycle well at all. They tend to rattle around at first so I have mine just plugged in. I don't know if the Seio controller works or not. Any controller would have to have a dimmer feature instead of on and off.
