Hydro/Leak test Leemar tank?

I ordered a 96 X 30 X 32 tank from Leemar. Euro-braced with 5/8 Starphire glass. The stand is enormous and is already in my home. I get the tank this weekend and I'm really nervous about it leaking. Why? Well it was originally shipped in April from Leemar to ATM in Vegas. Supposedly the bottom cracked when they were unloading the tank. It was shipped back to Leemar, the bottom was cut out and replaced. They tried to deliver it a second time and it cracked again, this time by the delivery truck. The bottom was cut out and replaced AGAIN. I've had many conversations with Leemar and they ensure me that it's as good as new and won't leak.

Question. Would you guys suggest I fill it up with water in my garage before I put it in my home? It just seems like a pain in the a** to do it. There is no way to bring the stand back out into my garage to set it on. So if I decide to fill it up do I have to make sure the ground is level? Cause I believe my garage slopes a little bit for drainage issues towards my doors. And how long do I leave the water in it for leak testing? I'm really not sure how I can level this thing out in my garage...

Well if it was cut out and replace then it will be good. The 'crack' is not going to be there any more.

Put it on the stand, fill it, and let it sit for 1 week. <-- normally

For you.. make sure it is braced on the bottom, just like it would be on the stand. A small angle will be fine, as long as it is not like 12 degrees.

Yeah, it was cut out and replaced twice.

I actually just talked to the wife and I'm going to put the tank on the stand in the garage. But you really think a week? A few people told me 24 hours, but I wanted to come here to get 2nd opinions...

I mean, if it was me, I would do like a minimum of 5 days. But if this same tank has had replacement issues before, and not just once, I would be more worried about other sections besides what they replaced.

Granted it could never have a problem. I would not want to come home to an empty tank and splashing as I walked.

No I'm not. You talked me into it though. I'll fill it up Saturday morning and leave it for 5 or 6 days. Better safe than sorry I guess. It's just so hard to wait. I want to get it into my house now! :headwally:
