Will a freshwater dip (day) kill off the droids? Seen reference to boiling but that sounds extreme. Also anyone have exp with droid eating nudi's?

a freshwater dip prolly will not kill them

hydroid eating nudis are almost impossible to get in the hobby because ppl dont collect them and there are hundreds of hydroid species.

sea spiders can eat them tho ;)

I had some Berghia Nudi that took care of my hydriods. My tank was full of them. I had them everywhere on my rocks. It was like a forest full of them. It took a year but my Berghia Nudibranch ate them all. I had a bunch of Berghias running around in my tank but they didn't survive the move.

I've been dealing with some brown colonial hydroids recently. I've had luck digging out small chunks of rock with a utility blade. Safer would be to use an actual hammer and chisel to dig out the colonies.
Good thing about the brown colonial type is they don't seem to sting, just look ugly covering everything.

Would pulling the rock out and using a small torch to burn the infested area rid them?
they are poping up in my tank.tried kalk and it didn't seem to work.they are brown in color.any help would be appreciated. Tia.

ok so i took out the rocks and put a lighter to the infested area.Theres one rock i cant take out so im going to have to empty the tank half way and use a small torch to burn them.

I didn't know Berghia Nudi ate hydroids!! I thought they only ate aiptasia. I have been battling these hydroids for years without any success. May be I should give it a try.

i would very much like to find a predator species for this pest. if a type of nudi could do it, that would be very pleasing.

keep me posted!
