Hydroids?

I think I might have hydroids, small specks on the glass with arms radiating out in all directions...I can clean the glass but they just come right back. I am feeding phytoplankton and cyclopeze is that feeding them too? Will they just be gone someday? Would a blockbuster do the trick! Just kidding......

They are generally only around in newly setup tanks, and gradually disappear. How long has the tank been set up? Or have you recently added any new LR?

It has been up about two months. It seems they showed up after I bought some live sand, but that may just be a coincidence. So they will just go away in time? Two or three months or will it be longer typically.

Generally they do go away. I cant say thay I know enough about them to say whether or not they will go away in your tank. If your tank meets their needs then they may stick around. Most peoples tanks dont, between skimmers, powerheads, possibly lack of food they just dont survive.
