Hypo progress

This is my first try with hypo. I put all the fish into a 30 gallon QT. Just want to check with your experts that I am doing everything right. Please let me know if I am doing anything wrong.

1) I leave all snails, corals, and shrimps in the display tank.
2) Move all fish: Saifin tang, purple tang, maroon clown, six line, painted wrasse, firefish, lemonpeel to a 30 gallon QT.
3) Replace 5 gallon saltwater with RO every 12 hour. After 48 hour, my specific gravity is ~ 1.015.


Couple questions:

1) I moved all the fish to QT even some don't show sign of ich. Is this right?
2) My tangs look pale. Is this normal? They are active and eating well.
3) When does the white spot go away? My purple has had white spots for about 1.5 weeks.

Replace 1/5th of the water every 12 hours. Watch your PH. Yes, move all of the fish. Tangs will pale up when under stess. The white spots will start to go away when your salinity reaches 1.09. After all white spots are gone maintain salinity for 3 weeks. Then, on the 4th week start raising salinity back up. Take a week to raise salinity back up. Take a look at the web page below.
