I am thinking about doing a hyposalinity treatment for my clownfish (saw a few white spots). Reading through the sticky and other sites' info, I understand the concept and procedure for hyposalinity treatment except for this one item. How do you bring the PH level in the fresh RO/DI water to the level of normal aquarium saltwater? That is to bring a PH of 7 to 8 or 8.2.
Some folks said to use baking soda. How much baking soda will need to bring one gallon of freshwater up to a PH of 8?
If not baking soda, are there any other product to use?
Thank you.
