Hyposalinity treatment

I have a 2' x 2' x 10" quarantine tank and was wondering if its big enough to treat a yellow tang, flameback pygmy Angel, two small clowns, flasher wrasse and a royal gramma at the same time? For ich. My friend told me his tank is ich free... Bought the wrasse from him and now my tang has 6 dots on him

Seems like it would stress the fish really bad with all the moving

IMO, "stress'' is the most over-used word in our hobby. No fish is going to die by being move between 2 QTs. Compare that to what a fish must do to survive on the reef and what he goes through between the reef and your tank.

On your question: Your QT is about 25 gal; borderline for the fish you have, IMO. Watching ammonia and WCs will be needed. Hypo is not easy; a perfectly calibrated hydrometer is required and an ATO really helps. If SG in the HT/QT rises above 1.009, even for a minute or two, ich can get through and start the cycle all over.

"Fighting ich ( tank transfer method ) questions?" search this. It was a thread I put together. I did things a little different than most but it has worked for me thus far.
