Can I house a Serpent star with a peacock mantis or will the mantis kill and eat it? Thanks in advance for any replies.

according to what i have seen on this board,

some species of mantis has been known to 'feed' a starfish...

but

good luck reproducing those results...

unless of course its not rare...

i say 50/50, it will or it wont, work out...

Serpent stars tend to have a fairly high survival rate with a mantis. The mantis generally ignores them. I say its worth a try, just avoid green serpent stars, as they have been known to be highly predatory.
